Problem with Messaging
I have an iPhone XS Pro Max and have had a few different iPads in the last couple of years and when I am messaging the messages would appear on all of my devices. This has worked up to and including the iPad 9 gen I have. I recently purchased an iPad 10 gen and set it up directly from the iPad 9 however while messaging seems to work if I send an iMessage on any of the devices it doesn't show on the iPad 10 if it is a normal text message. I can't send or receive any texts to/from someone with a device other than an Apple using iMessage. I have gone through the settings comparing everything to the settings in the iPad 9 and everything is set the same so am at a loss to understand why messages
are not being shared to and from the iPad 10 as they are with the iPhone and
iPad 9 and why I can't send/receive regular text messages on the iPad 10. I
called Apple Tech Support and they told me to turn off the iMessage option in
settings and then turn it back on. I did that and then received the following
message.
Messages in iCloud not available as iCloud and iMessage accounts do not match.
Messages in iCloud is not available because iCloud and iMessage accounts are different.
I am not sure how that could be as I setup the iPad 10 by having everything transferred directly from the iPad 9 when I setup the iPad 10 and the iPad 9 is still working properly.
Any help in correcting this issue would be appreciated.
Thank you
