iTunes Store Session Expired

At least once every 2 weeks iTunes has a pop-up notification stating "Your iTunes Store Session Expired" asking me to enter the password for my Apple ID. This is an annoying pop-up and one should only be prompted for the password on entering the iStore within iTunes.

How can I stop this annoying pop-up when I have no intention to visit the iStore?

itunes sign in pop up doesn't go away my itunes sign keeps popping up and even when i change the password and sign in nothing happens and it keeps popping up
