I cannot complete remote sign in because I cannot obtain the two factor id.
the two factor sign on works fine online from phone b/c the code is sent and received by text
however, from a hotel tv (Roku) it is going where? All family members with all devices are present. No code anywhere. Mystery!

The prompt for a verification code is supposed to be send to to the ‘trusted Apple devices’ of the user whose Apple ID account was used, or else as a text message to a trusted phone number as set for that account. Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support.
