iCloud app won't accept Apple password

The iCloud app on my Windows 11 PC will not accept my Apple password. I can sign in through my web browser and access iCloud on all my devices. This has persisted for several weeks. Everything is up to date. What gives?

Also on start up the iCloud app wants me to login but does not accept the password but the iTunes app does
