Apple Card application declined due to “We are unable to verify your identification information”

I keep getting declined due to “We are unable to verify your identification information” . I have contacted Goldman and Apple care and they could not help. I am not getting the option to submit my ID or anything , just an automatic decline and that’s all.

Goldman Sachs uses several sources of information to verify your are who you say you are. This ID process is required by Federal regulations.

Your information such as name, address and date of birth must be correct and match exactly other information Goldman gathers. This means your Drivers License/State ID must match you Apple ID information. If your address is incorrect or the DL has expired, your identity cannot be verified.

Goldman Sachs gathers information from your Apple ID account, credit reporting agencies, and other sources. Information collected is compared to you Apple Card application and match exactly. If your DL has an old address a new DL must be obtained. If the age is incorrect on your Apple ID, you must correct it.

You’re welcome!

Goldman does on several issues but not on Apple ID information. Apple won’t allow them to see the personal information. They just confirm if it’s correct or not. It’s a privacy thing. In my experience it’s usually has to do with incorrect or outdated ID, or credit report inaccuracies such as old address, wrong DOB, misspelled name.
