Preview crashing when printing jpeg or png

I am running a MacbookPro 2023 (silicone) laptop with OS 13.3.1, Ventura. Preview crashes every time I try to print a jpeg, pdf or a png. I have no problems printing from other apps such as Word, Excel, or Acrobat. Although it shouldn't matter, my printer is a color laserjetpro MFP M277dw

The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.4 — I would start there.
