how is screen time calculated? for example if I set app limits for social, games and entertainment, BUT do not want to restrict music, Spotify, maps, phone and messages. if they exceed the time limit for the unrestricted apps first, will that impact the other limited apps?

If you set app limits for social, games, and entertainment, but exclude apps like music, Spotify, maps, phone, and messages from those restrictions, exceeding the time limit for the unrestricted apps should not directly impact the usage of the limited apps.

The purpose of app limits is to help you manage and control the amount of time you spend on specific categories of apps. By setting limits for social, games, and entertainment, you are essentially restricting the time you can spend on those apps.

If you exceed the time limit for the unrestricted apps like music, Spotify, maps, phone, and messages, it shouldn't affect the time limits or restrictions imposed on the limited apps. The restrictions you set for the limited apps should remain in place regardless of the usage of the unrestricted apps.

In other words, going over the time limit for the unrestricted apps should not grant you additional time or affect the usage restrictions for the limited apps. Each category of apps should operate independently based on the limits you have set for them.
