Deleting cells in Numbers

Is there a way to delete individual or groups of cells WITHOUT deleting rows or columns?

Do the other cells in the row and column move the way they do in Excel?

Thank you.

Hi bcbonnie,

sorry but Numbers does not offer the option to delete cells.

You can only delete the content of these cells.

The only thing that is close to how Excel is handling this topic is to move cells.

You would select the cells that should move up, when you would delete some cells in a column.

Then click a second time in the selected cells and move the up, while keeping the mouse key pushed down.

Moving cells around can will impact formulas that are using these cells, therefore you have to double check if something bad has happened.
