I’ve used air drop the other day to send files from my iPad to MacBook Air (before m1), and now it doesn’t even connect it just says waiting and never changes, this is not the first time this has happened, I have hard reset everything several times bit it is still stuck at waiting, nothing is fixing this!!

To begin, I'd recommend you take a look at How to use AirDrop on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support and review the "Before you begin" section:
* Make sure that the person you're sending to is nearby and within Bluetooth and Wi-Fi range.
* Check that you and the person you're sending to have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on. If either of you have Personal Hotspot on, turn it off.
* Check if the person you're sending to has their AirDrop set to receive from Contacts Only. If they do, and you're in their Contacts, they need to have your Apple ID's email address or mobile number in your contact card for AirDrop to work.
* If you're not in their Contacts, have them set their AirDrop receiving setting to Everyone in order to receive the file.
Additionally, from Use AirDrop on your Mac - Apple Support, make sure that incoming connections aren't blocked in firewall settings:
* macOS Ventura or later: Choose Apple menu > System Settings. Click Network in the sidebar, then click Firewall on the right. Click the Options button, then make sure that “Block all incoming connections” is turned off.
* Earlier versions of macOS: Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Security & Privacy. Click the Firewall tab, then click the lockand enter your administrator password when prompted. Click Firewall Options, then make sure that “Block all incoming connections” is deselected.
If the issue persists, make sure that the software on each device is up to date. These Apple Support articles should help with that:
