Photos you receive in the Messages can be automatically shown in Photos, see: View photos and videos shared with you on iPhone - Apple Support

There is no matching service for photos you receive as mail attachments. The photos emails to you can be saved to Photos by tapping them in the Mail, then use the command "Add to Photos".
