Moving files from Downloads folder

I have downloaded a LOT of photos from my iPhone to the Downloads folder on my iMac. Is there a way to SELECT a lot of said photos to drag them to the Photos app or do I have to do it one by one???

Or, is there a better way to transfer a lot of photos from my iPhone to my iPad??? iPhone should have the latest OS; iMac is running Monterey.

iMac, 10.11

Use the Import command from the File Menu in Photos.

Point it at the downloads folder. I think you can review what gets imported.
