There are likely too many processes taking place. So, power off the phone, to let it cool, and then try clearing space. Have you recently filled you iPhone storage? Having low available storage can most certainly case overheating. process are likely taken up

Perform the following:

I. Cool Down the iPhone:

For a few hours, perform the following...

  • Power Off: the iPhone for a bit
  • Unplug: any Cables
  • Place it Atop: Laptop Cooler
  • Keep it in: an open space
  • Keep it Out of: direct sunlight

then...

2. Clear Space Using my User Tips:

See if you need to clear lots of space. System resources may be using up too much services, making it overheat. Internal storage cannot be upgraded. Troubleshooting an Overheating iPhone and iOS17:

Get this Serviced:

If storage is playing no role in this, the may reply would not apply. What you are reporting is a commonly reported issue of these forums. So, take take this in for a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. There, it will be diagnosed, and you'll be provided with your options.

and...

Report this to Apple:

Discord's workarounds is a major bug (or maybe just a major annoyance) in Apple's iPhone iOS. Many reports are out there over the years on getting this fixed. Question is: "Just how many people have actually reported this to Apple?" Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it. These are just user-to-user forms. Apple barely reads the forums as it is on their own time and will. Apple will know nothing of this concern, if you do not spread the word to them. So, report it to Apple. They wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear about this, the more likely they will look into, knowing what is going on.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: That is all began after installing this update. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary.
