Homepod mini playing from Apple Music restarts a track or stops track early to start next track

When playing with continuous play from Apple Music the homepod mini restarts some tracks after about 10-15 seconds or when approaching the end of a track it will stop early to start the next track, cutting off 15-30 seconds of the end of a track.

Latest Firmware 17.0 but it was the same on the previous version.

Homepod Mini MJ2E3B/A in stereo pair, strong 2.4GHz wifi setup without bandwidth or download problems.

Already done that. Also relocated them to make sure there's a better connection. Given then a dedicated IP address on my router and only connected both to 2.4Ghz. Latest firmware.

Playing again this morning and it's happened again.

I have also been having this issue. Both with standalone HomePod Minis and those in a stereo pair. Has been like this through a couple of software iterations and has occurred when streaming from my iMac, MacBook, and iPhone. same issue all around.
