Rosetta 2 will be offered for download only if you need it. This will be when you open an application for an Intel Mac on your new Mac with Apple silicon.

Hadn't gotten it to work, will try the link you sent
Can not get Rosetta 2 to download using terminal command, never get "banner" to ask to download rosetta, or via software update. Bought a M1 Apple Imac, 16GB ram, 2 TB storage - not finding Rosetta 2 on CD - ?
