When I create a vocal recording on part of a Garageband track it automatically is copied to the rest of the track! I don't know why. I've used GB for years and have never seen this before

I use and iMac and the version of GB is 10.4.11

iMac 21.5″, macOS 13.6

I want to add an intro to the conversation, so I recorded one in GarageBand and imported the existing m4a file into GarageBand as well, to make one track together. (10.5) bus, eq, comp automatically create for the track when I import an audio file bus, eq, comp automatically create for the track when I import an audio file. It happens everytime either when I drag and drop an audio file from finder, or when I import a file from file view inside logic. Is there a way to turn this function off? So the tracks that I create when I import samples do not have any of these features with it. Thanks in advance.

I am brand new to GarageBand. I have imported a guitar track from Apple Music, and would like to merge/add vocals and piano. Can't seem to find help to address theses.
