I can hear and record with Mic using inputs 1&2 but can't hear or record guitar using the same inputs. Sounds like the guitar is way back in the distance and somebody is unplugging it and plugging back in and distorted, nothing cohesive! Please help! HELP!

There is a new setting in the menu bar. The user tip and linked Apple doc explain about it.
