white dots display when i play a single note in logic pro 11

OK here is a screen shot minus the white dot since I don't have 4 hands and the dot doesn't last long enough to take a photo You're looking at the LCD. On the right side you can see the words Cmaj, a little space and the downward caret, or "v". When I press a key on my KORG D1, a tiny white dot blinks in the space between the chord and the caret. What is this dot trying to convey? It must be the result of a setting somewhere. What is that setting? I don't recall this irritant in prior versions of Logic. In Logic 10 if I pressed single key, that key name would display. Now in Logic 11 that doesn't happen. Only chords display, not single notes. If you know what that setting is, please tell me. Thanks
