Messages not syncing between MacBook Pro and iCloud and Find My showing my MacBook as no location found, offline

Messages would sync and show up on my M1 11 iPad Pro and iPhone 15 Pro but NOT my M1 MacBook Pro.

I logged into iCloud.com using my MacBook Pro and looked at Find My which does show the list of all equipment I have registered there - all devices are there including the MacBook Pro but iCloud shows MacBook Pro - No location found - Offline - even though I AM online and logged into iCloud.

When I check Find My on my MacBook Pro on iCloud and on my iPhone 15 Pro they both show M1 MacBook Pro as being with me
