Why won't my Mac recognise iPod touch after restore?

I unplugged my 5th gen iPod touch while restoring it through iTunes.i thought it finished but the Mac had finished downloading software before transferring to the iPod.after I unplugged it ,it showed the apple logo then asked to be plugged into iTunes, I plugged it in and changed cables but the Mac won’t recognize it
