How can I disable option panel when opening a folder on my Mac?

This is annoying. Now using Sequoia. Often, when I double click on a folder, trying to open it, the first click gives me a panel with options. I don't want options. I want to open the !@#$%^ folder! How do I avoid this panel of options that pops up when I click on something?

This MacBook Air, with trackpad(?)

Make changes to your Settings and compare your results:

>System Settings>Trackpad

Force Click (a feature of macOS that uses pressure-sensitive trackpads) might be causing this issue. If you’re using a MacBook with a Force Touch trackpad, a firm press could be triggering the Quick Look or preview options instead of opening the folder. To fix this, go to System Settings → Trackpad → Point & Click, and try disabling "Force Click and haptic feedback." That should stop the extra panel from popping up and let you open folders normally with a regular double-click. Let me know if this helps.

"Force Click and haptic feedback" is already turned off.

Then toggle them on and compare your results... then go back to the preferred setting and compare your results.

The point is make some changes, this will modify the associated plist if corrupt or stuck in an unwanted manner.
