Your printer's security settings - such as requiring a PIN - are not controlled by your iPad.
Normally, it is better to connect a printer to a Wi-Fi router, the same as for the iPad. If a router (home Wi-Fi network) is not available, it may be possible to use a direct Wi-Fi connection iPad to printer in some cases. It would help to know the printer make and exact model, though.
