How to sync iCloud files on Windows without Apple devices after Advanced Data Protection?

Advanced Data Protection caused an issue that users can not login and sync data on Windows devices without Apple devices. I have switched from iPhone to Android, and I haven't any Apple devices now. I can not sync my iCloud files with iCloud Windows App.

Windows iCloud sync issues with Advanced Data Protection enabled I immediately adopted Advanced Data Protection as soon as it was officially released. Since enabling that feature, I have consistently had sync issues with any changes made to my iCloud Drive on my Windows 11 device. Not a single change even as simple as renaming a file on my PC will sync to iCloud. Changes made to iCloud on my Apple devices however will sync properly, but those changes do not sync to my PC either. The only way I can get my iCloud to be in sync on my PC is by signing out of iCloud and signing back in. This deletes all of my local iCloud files and then downloads a fresh copy of my file directory. So long as no changes are made to iCloud, my PC version will remain up to date. But that defeats the purpose of on demand cloud storage, doesn't it? I see that I'm not the only person experiencing this issue on this forum, and I wonder how many people are having this issue and don't realize it.

Windows iCloud sync with Advanced Data Protection enabled If I have Advanced Data Protection enabled, should I be able to sync iCloud data (e.g., photos) to my Windows computer using the iCloud app? Syncing doesn't appear to work and I'm wondering if ADP is the reason.

Can iCloud Files Sync with my Windows 11 Laptop? I am running a new Windows 11 Dell laptop with iCloud for Windows installed (from the Microsoft Store). I have an iCloud account with added storage and use it for file access. Can iCloud Files sync with my laptop hard drive so I can access files on my laptop locally in addition to access at iCloud.com?
