I am only able to send and receive emails using WebMail. When using Mail I keep getting told that my email address or password is incorrect. However since I can access through WebMail, then they are incorrect

Wondering where you changed the BigPond email password .... eg: on the BigPond website ?
It appears that the old password is still listed for access from the Mail app, so BigPond can't allow Apple Mail access. Seems the password.still needs updating in your iPhone's Apple Mail password settings.:
