iPhone unresponsive after mirroring; can’t use apps or restart

Thanks! My iPhone 13 mini locked up in the same way and nothing I tried worked. I tried your suggestion too and that also didn't work, but then my wife tried it with success. Turns out it has to be a quick press of the up volume, then a quick press of the down volume, then press and hold the power button until it shuts off. I was pressing the up and then down volumes for too long before holding the power button and nothing was happening. Anyway, I'm very pleased to be back into my iPhone after a couple of hours banging my head against it. I'm wary of iPhone Mirroring with my Mac now.
