My friend gave me her phone. When I tried setting it up her Apple ID was still connected and I don't have her information. How can I completely erase all the information?

You cannot erase without her Apple ID & password.

Transfer Account Ownership at your Local Apple Store.

To do so, You and “Your Friend” would take it in for a Genius Bar Appointment. So, contact Apple about setting one up, if an option.

Prior to Taking it in Stop Attempting to Log In

At the Appointment, have “Your Friend” log out of it, and disassociate it from their account. You’ll get locked out if you unsuccessfully log in too many times. And you don’t want that.
