Photos disappeared with new computer

Hi everyone,

I bought a new mac and all my photos from Photos on iCloud have disappeared. What's weird is:

(1) events on Calendar and Notes are still there,

(2) albums in Photos are still there but empty.

What can have happened and how can I recover my photos?

Thank you!

Have you checked the iCloud Photos Library at www.www.icloud.com? not, open www.icloud.com, then sign in with the AppleID you used for iCloud on your old computer. Open the Photos.app there. Are your photos still in iCloud and can you see them there?

Did you migrate you data from your old computer to your new one? If so then you should have a Photos library in your Pictures folder. Open it and check the General preference pane to make sure it's designated as the System Photos Library:

Then go into the Photos/iCloud preference pane and make sure the iCloud Photo Library option is checked. Also check which type of source file, original or optimized, you want on your MBP.

Or you can create a new, empty library, designate it the System Photos Library, enable iCloud Photo Library and select Downlo0ad Originals to this Mac and sit back and wait for all of you Photos to be downloaded to your library.
