How do I import video from Canon HF R80 into iMovie? Thanks.

Hi,


I don't see a Canon HF R80 model listed in Apple's list of supported cameras:

That doesn't necessarily mean that it won't work in iMovie. You'll need to try it and see. If it won't import directly into iMovie you might have to import to your desk top, using the Image Capture app on your Mac, and then drag the movie into iMovie. Or import into the Photos app and access the videos via the Photos item in the sidebar of an iMovie project.

If the issue is a format that is unsupported by iMovie, you can import the video to your desk top and convert it to Mp4/AAC with the free download, Handbrake. You can get Handbrake here:
