Blank area at the top of finder

Hi, There is always a blank area at the top of finder window.

deleted the finder preference app but still the blank area is present.

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.15

Boot into Safe Mode and see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and check again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.
