When I first had a device that required Store information I did not have a debit card so my mother gave my little brother and I hers to purchase. Were starting to get each other's purchases and my brother and I want to switch our store accounts to our iCloud account. Would we lose anything that we have downloaded on our devices if we do that? I have an iPhone and a Macbook and I am afraid to lose all the information I have on both of them.
All store downloads are permanently tied to the account that downloaded them, so only that account can redownload its purchases for free (and do in-app purchases, download app updates etc.). Logging into a different account shouldn't delete the current account's content.

Would I lose any information like my contacts or pictures or anything? Or is it just specifically for any apps that were not the apps that are there when getting the iPhone?
Logging out of the account that you are using for the store shouldn't affect your contacts and photos, they (if that is where they are stored) will be linked to the iCloud account
