Issue with delete button in final cut

So here’s how I fixed it: In Final Cut Pro X, you have a clip you wanna delete. Then you press delete and it doesn’t delete. So you go to the Apple Icon and press “Restart.” Then you un check “reopen windows when logging back in.” Then it restarts. then when it’s done, you press the final cut button. Then you click on the clip and press delete. Fixed!!

The delete on the top bar thing with the stuff that says “file edit trim mark clip modify” etc... and on my “Magic Keyboard,” I’m pressing the “delete.”

my Final Cut Pro X version is 10.4.7.
