I have I macos Sierra 10.12 and I tried to upgrade to macos Mojave so I can download and install Xcode, but keep getting error message "This version of macOS 10.14.6 cannot be installed on this computer" every single time when I tried to download Mojave. I have 778 GB of free space on my computer. Please help. Thanks in advance.

You may have to sign up for a free developer account to get to them.
I don't know which version is compatible with Sierra.

Good morning from California Eau. Thank you so much for the info. I bought my Mac back in 2010 so it definitely not compatible with macos Mojave. However, last night I was successful installed macos Sierra and the reason I want to install the latest and greatest macos is because I want to install xcode to start learning app coding for ios. When I tried to download Xcode it said cannot download required at macos 10.14.5 or later.
Is there any work around that helps me to download XCode?
