Printing and email preferrence issues after Catalina upgrade.

Have a client who recently updated to Catalina OS with two specific issues:

1) Printing through any software indicates the printer is offline (Word, Safari, Apple email client), after reinstallation of network printer and low level testing of printer being successful. (test page and ping test)

2) Apple default email client preference window, when opened is blank.

What kind of printer is it? Have you checked for updated drivers? Or looked in Console for any possible errors? Reset the printing system and re-added the printer? Or added the printer using AirPrint, if possible?

Thank you for your reply;

The printer is a HP3600n.

Yes, it was removed and reinstalled twice and can print a manufacturer test page from the affected machine without any issue each time. HP/Apple utility software accesses the printer without issue too.

As noted can ping the printer IP address without issue as well.

Just not able to print from any Apple or Microsoft applications.

Thanks,

LMB
