Apple TV and Apple TV+

I have an older Apple TV, but I update it whenever an update is offered. I would like to access the new Apple TV+ streaming service, but can’t figure out how, and haven’t been able to find any answers on the web thus far. Please advise,

Apple TV+ is available through the Apple TV app as an in-app channel on Apple TV (3rd generation or newer).

I think mine is first generation.

That would be unlikely.

The 1st generation received its last update (v3.0.2) in 2010-02. No longer functional.

The 2nd generation received its last update (v6.2.1) in 2014-09.

The 3rd generation received its last update (v7.4) in 2019-09.

The 4th generation received its last update (v13.2) in 2019-10.

The 5th generation received its last update (v13.2) in 2019-10.

The channel does not appear.

You would only have the Apple TV app with in-app channel features on Apple TV software version 7.3 or later.
