HDR movies

Hello, I recently purchases a movie "The Star" and I did not know it was in HDR.

I am trying to play it on our TV for the kids, but I keep getting message that the screen cannot playHDR.

I deleted the movie and re-downloaded it making sure not to check the HD video, but I still cannot play the video. I tried all the settings in TV applications and in Itunes but still same.

I have over 30 kids coming tomorrow and we are planning to play this movie for them ! How can we get this to play in SD ???

and choose lower streaming quality.

The Streaming Quality is for when you get the playing content directly from the internet. It doesn’t apply to downloads. Hence the separate Download Quality option.

Playing using HDMI cable. I checked the TV it does support HDR but still the apple TV app says it can't !

The HDMI adapter is probably limiting the HDR capability. You would need an HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 capable adapter for HDR support.
