Is there a way to run 32-bit apps on my new 64-bit MacBookPro at all? Or do I simply have to buy a new versions of the apps, period? Thank you.

Apple's Macs have been 64bit for a very long time but until Catalina (10.15) the operating system could run both 32bit and 64bit applications. Unless your MBP is the new 16" model you can run older 32bit software by booting with an older OS.
Before upgrading my desktop to Catalina I made of a clone of Mojave on an external drive and I'm still booting with that external drive a several times a month to use 2 32bit apps that will not be upgraded and I've not yet found suitable replacements for.
You need 64 bit version of any app you want to run on Catalina.
Is there a way to run 32-bit apps on my new 64-bit MacBookPro? Or do I simply have to buy a new versions of the apps, period? Thank you.
