macOS High sierra

I am trying to download a copy of high sierra. I have seen the replies that have a link that redirects to the app store. When I get there the button says open. When I click on open it tells me the install file is damaged. I am not sure if there is a damaged version on my macbook that I am unaware of. I just need to download and install high sierra so I can upgrade to newer OS.

If it says "Open" that indicates that you have already downloaded it. Look in Downloads folder or Applications folder for "Install Mac OS High Sierra" and find and delete the download. Then restart and try again.
