Reinstalling os x on old macbook

Why I have to do this all the time I cannot fathom.


But I have already cleared the disk and need to reinstall the system.

It says IF you have an Apple ID use it here. I put mine in seeing as I HAVE NO CHOICE.


And it sends a ridiculous 2 factor password to my devices. I hit “allow” giving me a false sense of power and security.

And then I see the 6 digit password.


Only problem is Apple forgot to give me a 2 factor password window to enter it!!!!!

there is nowhere to enter the stupid 6 digit numbers. How pathetic.

So what now? I can’t install OS X because of Apple’s negligence?

You will need to generate a secure code from another device and type it after your password. Example: password123456
