Strange issue with MP3 audiobooks

I've ripped some audiobooks to MP3 and split them by chapter. As an example, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is 17 chapters. When I import the books (I'm only doing two to keep this simple) they show up in the music folder and everything is fine.

I select both books, right click and select "Get Info" then change the type to Audiobook

When I go over to the Audiobooks this is what I see

When I select "Sync Audiobooks", only one icon for each book shows up. I checked them and did a sync and on the iPhone everything appears to be OK. This is one icon per book and clicking on the book plays and I can select individual chapters and jump to them.

The issues appears to be with how iTunes is handling the books in Grid View. Things appear to work correctly in List View.

Running latest version of iTunes (12.10.5.12) on update-to-date Windows 10 1903.
