No Way To Reset Apple ID

Hi all,


My mother has forgotten her Apple ID password. She has also forgotten the security questions to her account, and no longer has access to the email associated with her Apple ID. As a result, she can't do any updates. I've tried wiping her iPod touch, but it prompts me for her password. I'm not sure what do to help her in this case.


Thanks for any advice.

If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions - Apple Support


You may need to reach Apple’s Account Security department. If you cannot find your country or are not able to call, then complete this form and send it to them.


Try using Apple's iForgot service. If it says they don't have sufficient information, you need to contact Apple's Account Security team. To reach them, click here and pick a method; if you can't use any of the ones listed, fill out and submit this form.

If she can't answer her security questions satisfactorily, note that:


Security and your Apple ID https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201303 says “without proof of your identity via security questions and other carefully selected criteria, Apple Support can't help you reset a password or perform any other actions on your account.”

 

So, given that she won't be able to deal satisfactorily with her security questions, she won't be able to solve her problem unless she has an extenuating circumstance (e.g., she has the receipt for the purchase of the pertinent device with its serial number on it). If she has an extenuating circumstance, even one not the one just mentioned, then have her use the support options below for help in solving her problem.
