Hello ,


i recently dragged my photo library into external drive. thinking it is same as coping, but after that i am not able to open my photos in the library as the system is asking for the external drive to show pictures. how can i make it normal again.

You should be able to just double-click on the library file to have it open in Photos.app.


The external drive, however, must be formatted as either APFS, or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and check the Ignore Ownership option at bottom of the Get Info window for that volume.
