Clickable Links Saving in Sidebar rather than opening

Hi Guys,

I am using a MacBook Pro Touch Bar 2018. Whenever I am using Safari and click on a link, rather than opening it is sending the link to my Reading List. I then have to manually go into the reading list and open the link from there. Has anyone else experienced this? Or does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you for your advice in advance. Steve

Also check Safari/Preferences/Advanced to see if Reading List: Save for offline reading automatically is checked. If it is, try unchecking it, then quit/reopen Safari to see if that helps.
