Overwritten file on Keynote

I was preparing a presentation on Keynote and saved the newer version (12MB). I didn't realise I had the old version (10MB) saved in another place. I came back later in the week to open up the old version (10MB) to then overwrite the new version I made earlier in the week. So I lost my work and might need to re-do, but don't want to do this if I can help it.

I have tried to use File>Revert to>Browse all versions. This didn't work as only go as far as yesterday, but need the file from Tuesday from when I saved it.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

I don't understand your workflow, can you detail it in chronological order so we can understand what you have done.

  • Do you still have two files?
  • Have you deleted either of the files?
  • Have you used Revert on both files?
  • Have you tried restoring from your backup?
  • Checked the Trash?
