Apple Pages wont update

Ive just purchased a new MacBook Pro 13" 2020 version.

My OS is fully up to date but in the App Store it says that I have 3 updates. These are Keynote, Pages and Numbers. When I try to update them I receive an error message saying "Keynote / Numbers / Pages cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple ID".

I do have an old Apple ID which I still have access to an Ive logged onto this account but it still comes up with the same error message.

I don't understand the error message as this is the first time Ive tried to use Pages, Numbers or Keynote and so don't know why they would be associated with a different Apple ID.

Thanks in advance for your help

Regards

Steve

Hi Noddy220,

I understand you are unable to update Pages, Numbers and Keynote as the purchase is associated with a different Apple ID that the one you use currently.

As these are free apps, I would recommend removing them from your device, then downloading them again from the Mac App Store with your current Apple ID. This will both update the apps, and associate them with the most current Apple ID.

You can download them by clicking the following links: Pages on the Mac App Store, Numbers on the Mac App Store and Keynote on the Mac App Store.

Hope this helps!
