Ipad air

My kid's Ipad showed battery full but when is in use last 10 minutes and the computer will turn off showing battery need charging, when plug charged, battery will show full charge and will work again for 10 minutes and again.... Needs new battery? Hard reset twice, no changes. Thanks, Daniel

On the basis of your description, your iPad battery appears to be failing. At this juncture, you might be best advised to directly contact Apple Support - who may be able to run a remote battery diagnostic. The test results will help the Support Team to provide appropriate guidance as to your available options.
