usb ports - connection not properly establishing

Hi there my USB ports for my iMac (Mid 2014) do not appear to be working correctly.

It appears to be a problem with all ports. I have also tried multiple cables to connect to different devices (iPhone, iPad etc)

What seems to happen is that the devices keeps constantly connecting then disconnecting.

I've tried reseting the SMC and the PRAM / NVRAM to no avail.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Prentice

Hi Prentice,

What are these devices exactly, and are they all Bus powered?

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
