I can't synch my iPhone via finder. My iPhone appears in the sidebar until I click on it, then it disappears. If I restart the iMac the iPhone appears in the finder sidebar until I click on it when it disappears again.

What year model is the iMac and what macOS is it running?


If the iMac is running Mojave or earlier, then you use iTunes.

If the iMac is running Catalina, then you use Finder.
