Colour change on iPad Air 4

The colour on my iPad changed tonight for no reason. I just picked it up and realised the colours on the screen were darker and photos look like negatives.

l’ve tried a hard reset and hitting it gently on the back as recommended on google but nothing has worked.

Physically hitting delicate electronic devices is never a good idea!

If you are seeing unexpected screen colours, check that all of the following settings are set to OFF:

Settings > Accessibility > Increase Contrast

Settings > Accessibility > Smart Invert

Settings > Accessibility > Classic Invert

Settings > Accessibility > Colour Filters

If the colour shift is consistent across the system and all Apps, you may have a display hardware fault.

You would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support; the Contact Support link is at top-right of this page. Alternatively you can initiate a support case with the Apple Support App:

A further alternative is to visit your local Apple Store - where the technicians at the Genius Bar can test and assess your iPad.

I hope this is is helpful is getting the assistance that you require.
