Touch ID will no longer work

My touch ID for my fingerprint will no longer work on my six hours I went to settings trying to add a fingerprint it won’t let me. And it keeps telling me they were print cannot be used on this iPhone. Any help Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dawn S.

Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and make sure that iPhone Unlock or iTunes & App Store is on, and that you've enrolled one or more fingerprints. Try enrolling a different finger.
