How do I eliminate false clicks on my track pad?

About 100 times each day, my MacBook Air thinks I clicked on something when I only hovered over it, and then takes me somewhere I didn't want to go. Basically, if I so much as breathe on it, it counts that as a click.

Here are my current settings (see screenshot). I set click to Firm, hoping that it would require a firm click from me to register as an actual click. However, from what I can tell, that setting doesn't do anything.

I would like to change this to where a click requires a hard press on the trackpad, hard enough to make that clicking sound. Is this possible, or do I need to tape up my trackpad and use an external mouse?

Turn off "Tap to click".
