WiFi password not recognized in Internet recovery mode

Hi everyone. My macbookpro started flashing a black question mark. I searched apple support which said to try Internet Recovery mode. I did this, got the spinning globe, and it asked for wifi password. My WiFi was not listed in the drop down menu. I typed it in manually, and it is not recognizing the correct WiFi password (not a caps lock issue and other devices are working ok on WiFi).

I read about a similar problem but the answer given was above my skill level with disabling WiFi something or other.

Can anyone help?

I am self-quarantining and can't go to the apple store.

Reset your SMC and your NVRAM:

Sometimes changes (i.e. formats) are made to the system and then settings (i.e. keyboard) become corrupted, technically. So, reset both on your Mac.

So, reset the SMC and reset the NVRAMor PRAM. Then, try connecting once more. It might take three tries. to fix this. So, be certain you have the time to do so.
